Build Day 5

Well this has been a blast and is going great. Kelley has really gotten into it and her best bud next door neighbor Andre has been helping all weekend. Cyndy has been picking colors with names like Rustic Adobe and Tawny Tan and the folks  up at Sherwin-Williams know us by name.

When we last looked the contractors had finishes the ceiling. We did all the ceilings, closets baths, everything. They did a really good locking job, but get this, they were a bit messy. We wanted to get the ceilings painted Saturday. Two coats, one a primer and then the color coat. I didn’t get started spraying until after noon as I forced dried the last of the texture with fans.

I was just finishing spraying the last closet when the second 5 gallon bucket ran dry. I was within 30 seconds spray time of running out of paint. Perfect. It was 11:30 PM so I made it on time, right?

Sunday was to paint the walls in the halls and bedrooms and we got that done by 10:00 PM.

The carpet guys were coming on Monday morning, but when I walked out of the hotel it was raining. You don’t lay carpet in the rain,  but they did come pull up the old carpet and vynal tiles. We painted the accent wall in the living room and scrubbed down the knotty pine with Murphy wood soap.
