Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day Weekend is the best. It gives us a chance to go out and enjoy all of the Freedoms afforded us by the sacrifice of so many honorable men and women. Without them, none of this would be possible. Thank You

The Bell Family Unit and BSRacing joined forces to have some fun at Cyndy’ Sunset Ranch this weekend. Cyndy had been wanting a four wheeler for a long time now and I finally found one for her. I think she likes it, but you can see the video for yourself. The grandkids Sam & Alexis joined us and Kelley and her twin friend Hailey spent the weekend playing with us.

The Sunset Ranch looked great, all green and lush. The girls all took tons of pictures, but have not shared a single one with me. I don’t get that, they take all of those pictures and never upload them from their camera. Blake and Kelley shot some video, and I have them. Let’s see if this works.

We are always looking for fun targets to shoot at, and Blake really came through this time. He was at the Dollar Store and saw spray paint cans for $.99 and picked up 3 red and 3 white. He put this video together for us.

Kelley shot these videos. The link goes to You Tube. I’ve never done this before so we’ll see if it works.
This one is how to make a dump run, Cyndy Style.

This one is what do do with it once you get to the dump.

I have to brag just a bit here. We cleaned out an old store room and found several old one gallon paint cans. We took them to the dump and set Kelley up with the Ruger 10-22 semi-automatic rifle with a 25 round banana clip loaded up. I tossed the paint can up into the air and she nailed it on the fly with her second shot. The bullet went all the way through the can and put a wicked spin into the can with white paint slinging out in a spiral. It was beautiful.

The next day she found another can and wanted to try again. She nailed it on the first shot. Perfect. Made her Daddy proud. Then Alexis took a turn with the Ruger. I had let her shoot the Remington .22 single shot, but this was her first try with the Ruger. I was right there watching the gun and she started off slowly, then ripped off 8 or 10 shots in a row shooting at an old black cat cut out of plywood that was in the dump. Someone yelled at her to aim at the target and she stopped shooting so I checked and she was hitting it every time. I said go ahead and she finished off the clip nailing most of them in the target. My girls all know the true meaning of gun control is being able to hit your target.

Sam is also getting much better. His speciality is going to be artillery. What he lacks in accuracy he more than makes up for in sheer volume.

We had a great time and hope you did as well.
